Summer Stephan is the elected District Attorney of San Diego County and a national leader in the fight against human trafficking and victim-centered justice. With over 35 years of experience, she has prosecuted some of California’s most complex cases involving sexual assault, child exploitation, and violent crime. Summer leads efforts to protect vulnerable communities through prevention, education, and reform. She founded One Safe Place, a groundbreaking center offering wraparound services for survivors of abuse and trafficking. Known for her trauma-informed approach and fierce advocacy, DA Stephan is deeply committed to building safer, more empowered communities.
